Windows Vista Support endet

Mit dem nächsten Microsoft Patchday am 11.04.2017 endet nun final der Support für Sicherheitsupdates bei allen Windows Vista Installationen. Für Kunden, die dieses Betriebssystem noch im Einsatz haben bedeutet das, dass keine nach diesem Termin gefundene Sicherheitslücke mehr geschlossen wird.

Wie zuvor schon bei Windows XP werden Rechner, die auf den Betrieb mit Vista angewiesen sind – z.B. PCs, die Maschinen steuern und für die der Hersteller keine neuen Softwareversionen bereitstellt – damit sehr anfällig für Angriffe und stellen ein erhöhtes Risiko dar. Von daher lautet die generelle Empfehlung, solche Systeme nicht mehr mit dem Internet zu verbinden. Sollte das nicht möglich sein gilt es, diese Rechner vom restlichen Unternehmensnetz abzukapseln, z.B. mit unseren internen Firewalls zur Netzsegmentierung.
